09:04:10 to the clerk who will do the official swearing in.

09:04:13 We have two new council persons at this time.

09:04:22 Do you have family members here that want to stand with

09:04:27 you?

09:04:27 >> Raise your right hand.

09:05:10 I do solemnly swear that I will support, uphold and

09:05:14 defend the charter and ordinances of the City of Tampa,

09:05:21 the Constitution and laws of the State of Florida and

09:05:27 the Constitution and Laws of the United States of

09:05:31 America, that I am a resident and elector of the City

09:05:38 of Tampa and am titled to hold the office of council

09:05:47 member of the City of Tampa to which I have been

09:05:51 appointed, and that I will faithfully perform the

09:05:58 duties of the position into the position I am about to

09:06:07 enter, so help me God.

09:06:10 State your name, a citizen of the State of Florida and

09:06:10 of the United States of America and being employed by

09:06:10 or officer of the city of Tampa, Florida and a

09:06:31 recipient of public funds as such employee or officer

09:06:33 do hereby solemnly swear or affirm that I will support

09:06:50 the Constitution of the United States and of the State

09:06:52 of Florida.

09:08:44 them both to Tampa City Council, and we are very

09:08:53 delighted to have you.

09:08:57 Over the next nine months we have a lot of work to be

09:09:00 done.

09:09:01 Again, thank you so very much, and we welcome you and

09:09:04 give you the opportunity to make any comments at this

09:09:05 time.

09:09:20 colleagues on City Council.

13:06:20 today that would suggest otherwise, and I want to

13:06:24 ensure the council that voted for me -- Ms. Mulhern,

13:06:29 Chairman Scott, Joseph Caetano -- that your vote wasn't

13:06:32 in vain.




13:06:33 I am not in any kind of financial difficulty, nor have

13:06:36 I ever been.

13:06:37 But I do thank you for your vote.
