Basic TampaGov Architecture
Pages on TampaGov use a uniform heading, navigation, and footing.
Major links are placed in the heading and remain consistent throughout the user experience on the site. The heading background image changes based on time of day in Tampa, and also based on the type of page being displayed -- department specific or city-wide information. All organization structure is completely transparent to anyone accessing TampaGov web services. The TampaGov banner provides quick access to department and portal pages with Find It Fast and directory drop-down lists. Banner links are customer-centric with the most popular pages and services no more than a click away.
TampaGov pages use the same left-side menu structure with standard top level link titles for continuity throughout the site -- About Us; Contact Us; How Do I; Information Resources; News and Events; and Programs and Services. The use of consistent link titles helps visitors quickly find the information and services they are seeking. The navigation menu may have several levels of links. Second and third level link titles are applicable to their related content and are dynamically created based on the content currently available.
Web site policy oriented links are available on the page footing, along with a last revision date for the page. The revision date reflects when the fixed contents were changed; daily news updates, search results, and other automated, dynamic content is not reflected in the revision date.
Data on this system is public information and is generally available to copy or distribute. Information and/or images which may not be copied without permission includes copyrighted materials, such as artwork contained on the Art Programs pages, and the City seal (i.e. Mascotte logo).
