The Center for Digital Government recognized the city of Tampa's eGovernment portal, TampaGov.net, as one of the top 2002 winners of its Digital Cities Survey, Tampa officials announced Monday.
Tampa tied for First place with Honolulu, Hawaii, in the 250,000-plus population category.
The survey, underwritten by Microsoft Corp, analyzed how city governments have used digital technology to improve citizen services delivery.
Mayors, chief information officers and city managers in more than 300 cities were invited to respond to the survey.
Tampa received the Digital Cities award at a National League of Cities Conference in early December.
