On December 4, the Center for Digital Government hosted a reception honoring the 2002 Digital Cities Survey winners. Approximately 40 individuals including Mayors, City Council Members and Chief Information Officers attended the reception at the Salt Lake Marriott City Center.
The annual survey examines how city governments have progressed in adopting and utilizing digital technologies to improve the delivery of services to their citizens.
Over 300 of the nation's cities were invited to participate in the survey, which groups cities into three categories based on population: More than 250,000, 125,000-250,000, and 75,000-125,000. The 2002 Digital Cities Survey was underwritten by Microsoft.
