Mayor's Hack-a-thon

Mayor Bob Buckhorn will host the first City of Tampa Mayor's Hack-a-thon on June 22-24, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Tampa. The Mayor's Hack-a-thon gives coders, developers, problem-solvers, and designers the opportunity to create an internet-based application. Participants will be given exactly 48 hours to design and build their application, and can work alone or in teams of four or less. More...

Irrigation is Restricted to Once Per Week

A Regional Phase II Water Shortage Emergency has been declared - Irrigation is restricted to once per week. Homeowners associations and other entities must suspend any requirement to replace lawns, pressure wash or engage in other activity which increases water use during this water shortage declaration. Tampa Water Department customers are asked to use water efficiently and check their irrigation systems for leaks or other water waste. More...
