2007 Best of WebTampaGov Receives Best of the Web  
The City of Tampa has been selected as the Center for Digital Government’s 2007 Best of the Web winner in the City Portal category. The Best of the Web is a nationwide annual awards program that evaluates state, city and local government web sites based on their innovation, efficiency, economy and functionality for improved citizen access. The City of Tampa has consistently done well in the Best of the Web competition, having previously won in 2002, and finishing in the top three in 2005 and 2006. This year, the City of Tampa finished ahead of other top-notch web sites such as Fort Collins, Colorado and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Walking with the Mayor
Walking with the MayorMayor Pam Iorio invites you to join her on Saturday, October 20, 2007 for Walking with the Mayor - Keeping Tampa Fit. This free, fun, fitness walk takes place at Al Lopez Park, located at 4810 N. Himes Avenue. Registration opens at 6:30 a.m., walk begins at 7:30 a.m. Download the registration form and flyer (pdf).

Recycling for Kids  Recycle Guys image
The Solid Waste Department has introduced the "Recycle Guys" to TampaGov as part of the educational outreach campaign currently being used nationwide in several other states. It is designed to raise the awareness of the importance of recycling while educating the public on what can be recycled, how to reduce waste, and the associated benefits.

Code Enforcement Agendas Available as RSS Feed  
 RSS Feed Code Enforcement Board Dispositions, Final Agendas and Master Draft Agendas are just a few of the newly added meeting agendas now available by RSS feed. TampaGov offers many more public notices and various documents via RSS feeds.

New Water Rates Effective October 1, 2007 
Lack of rain, increasing irrigation demands and decreased flow in the Hillsborough River are causing Tampa’s reservoir level to decline faster than we normally see at this point in the dry season. View new Water rates on TampaGov Water pages and while you are there look up your lawn watering day, report a water use violation or learn more about the Reclaimed Water program. 

Customer Service Center 
The Customer Service Center allows you to report non-emergency concerns, ask a question or request city services. City staff will receive and respond to your request via the internet. This service also allows you to track your request as it progresses through city government.

Treasure City
The Office of the Clerk provides an excerpt from the movie "Treasure City." The selected portions of the movie relate to various historical scenes taken from Tampa's waterfront. These waterfront scenes are also highlighted in the Feature Photos area of the Clerk's Office. The movie was donated to the City of Tampa Archives by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce.
