The
Arte 2007 festival, a celebration of Hispanic and
Latin American arts, returns for a two-week run. The
festival kicks off Saturday, November 3, on The
Tampa Riverwalk at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts
Center. Saturday’s opening event is from 11 a.m.
until 3 p.m. and features live music by Miami band
Javier Garcia; Latin dance lessons; a special visit
and cooking demonstration by Food Network Celebrity
Chef Ingrid Hoffman; a children’s marionette show;
and crafts workshops.
An exciting public art exhibit and one of the most
cutting-edge public art projects in the Southeast
United States, Lights on Tampa is an innovative
regional initiative. The program grew out of a shared vision
that recognizes synergy between the arts and
technology.
