The Mayor's Hour - JC Newman Cigar Company

Tampa Photo Laureate Exhibit

Beginning the evening of Thursday, January 24th, Gallery AIA and the City of Tampa, Art Programs Division present images by Ric Savid, Tampa's ninth Photographer Laureate. This portfolio of black & white portraits captures Tampa's character and diversity. Savid has an intuitive way to connect with his subjects which results in a portrait that tells a story. Each year since 2003, the City of Tampa's Public Art Program has commissioned an artist to photograph a perspective of the City of Tampa with an emphasis on what it means to be in Tampa at this particular time in history.
