Mayor Bob Buckhorn
Mayor Buckhorn is thrilled that a new 36-story, high-rise will soon be breaking ground in downtown Tampa. Construction is anticipated to be complete by the end of 2014.

"From the Desk of Mayor Buckhorn" is designed to give citizens greater insight into the Mayor's Office. Every week, Mayor Buckhorn will offer a snippet of what he's currently working on.

"I could not be more excited to announce an $85 million, 350-unit residential high-rise project in downtown Tampa. Our partners, from the Straz Center and the team at Intown/Framework, share a vision to make a physical and important visual connection between Curtis Hixon and the Arts District to the Straz Center and North Downtown. Reconfiguring the streets will make all of those amenities and the Hillsborough River more accessible."
