Mayor Buckhorn joined Tampa’s local Muslim community to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr,
   which marks the end of Ramadan.

"From the Desk of Mayor Buckhorn" is designed to give citizens greater insight into the Mayor's Office. Every week, Mayor Buckhorn will offer a snippet of what he's currently working on.

"Last week, City Council approved two new buildings, Skyhouse Tampa in the Channel District and the Residences on the Riverwalk, which translate into density, hundreds of new residents, thousands of square feet for new retail spaces, and millions of dollars of investment."

On Thursday night, Tampa City Council approved the Residences on the Riverwalk, after hours of debate and dozens of downtown residents turning out to make their voice heard.
