Sec. Sebelius joined Mayor Buckhorn to announce that the City of Tampa will open our nine most active recreation centers for residents to enroll in affordable health care. To view which centers are open and when, please visit tampagov.net.

As enrollment numbers show, Americans are signing up for the Affordable Health Care Act. However, there’s still more work to be done and that’s where local leaders like Mayor Buckhorn can come in to help spread the word.

Downtown Tampa is going through a building boom. This year, the new Le Meridien boutique hotel at the Classic Federal Courthouse and Aloft hotels will open, and construction will begin on Skyhouse Channelside, Martin at Meridian, and Residences on the Riverwalk.

1/18: Tampa Tribune: Indian community helped Tampa land Bollywood awards
There’s no doubt that local Indian community leaders including Doctors Kiran and Pallavi Patel helped to bring the International Indian Film Academy Awards to Tampa. As Tampa looks again to tell its story to the world when Bollywood comes to town in April, there’s also no doubt that the Indian community’s presence here and our pride in diversity will be part of that story.
