Free Micro-irrigation Retrofit Workshops Available

Micro-irrigation is one step to a better "Florida Yard." Micro-irrigation, a form of low-volume irrigation, applies water at a slower rate (measured in gallons-per-hour vs. gallons-per-minute in a traditional sprinkler system) and is a more efficient way to irrigate trees, shrubs and ground covers. Benefits of micro irrigation include: better plant growth, easy installation, more efficient irrigation, and more selection.

The City of Tampa Water Department and the Hillsborough County Extension Service Water-Wise Program are teaming up to provide free micro-irrigation retrofit workshops in Tampa.

Learn how to convert your existing traditional sprinkler system to a more efficient, low-volume micro-irrigation system for your landscape plants. You and your landscape will benefit from this FREE program! Pre-registration is required.
