The TampaGov.net Web site contains thousands of pages of information. Sometimes finding what you want can be overwhelming. One way we have tried to simplify finding information is to categorize it by the type of user who is accessing our site.

Within the Information Resources link there is a link called "User Guides" which contains links for the following types of users: business, citizens, City employees, kids, seniors, teens and visitors.

The Official Neighborhood Registry

The Official Neighborhood Registry lists the neighborhood presidents who registered with the City of Tampa. The registry is continually being updated; therefore, it is important that you use the registry posted on our web pages for the most current information regarding your neighborhood president.

TampaGov Wins 5th Place in 2009 Best of the Web

The City of Tampa has been selected as the Center for Digital Government’s 2009 5th Place Best of the Web winner in the City Portal category. The Best of the Web is a nationwide annual awards program that evaluates state, city and local government web sites based their innovation, efficiency, economy, and functionality for improved citizen access.

New Water Restrictions Update

Tampa Water Department customers within the Tampa city limits return to the Southwest Florida Water Management District's Phase III Water Use Restrictions. While most irrigation is still limited to once a week, under the Phase III restrictions the irrigation window is again lengthened to permit watering anytime before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m. on assigned days, regardless of lot size or method of irrigation.

Water Use Restrictions include more than just irrigation restrictions. Car washing, pressure washing, fountain operation, and recreational use are just some of the non-irrigation water uses also included in the current restrictions.

The new restrictions information and an updated printable summary sheet are available at www.TampaGov.net/WaterRestrictions. A recorded summary of irrigation days and times is available by calling the Tampa's Water Conservation Hotline at (813) 274-8032.

Help Build the Perfect Play Area

Children in the Wellswood neighborhood have dreamed of their perfect play area. Thanks to the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department and partners KaBOOM!, Mutual of Omaha Foundation and the Friends of Tampa Recreation, Inc., the neighborhood kids will have a new playground -- one that they designed.

To complete the project, the City is looking for volunteers to help build the play area at Wellswood Park, located at 4918 N. Mendenhall Dr. The building project is scheduled for Thursday, October 8 beginning at 8 a.m.

Volunteering to help build a playground for these children is a way for the public to help create a better play area in the community.
