CERT Net Control Training Class

The Tampa Amateur Radio Club, in conjunction with Greater Tampa CERT, is proud to sponsor another in our ongoing series of CERT Net Control Training Classes on Wednesday, the 30th of September, at the Tampa Amateur Club. The training will start at 6:30 p.m., and will cover the following topics:

There will also be information about repeater operations from Dave, KA4MEP, the Repeater Trustee for the TARC repeaters. As part of the training, we'll be doing some hands-on activities, as well.

At the conclusion of the Net Control training, there will be training on the Icom IC-2820. This is the City of Tampa standard radio for amateur radio operations, with some 20 of these radios deployed at various locations around the city. The CERT Net is that evening at 8PM, and participants will be provided an opportunity to perform various Net Control tasks. We will continue the ICOM 2820 training following the CERT Net, if necessary.

If you anticipate the possibility of being deployed at one of these locations, or are just interested in the operation of this radio, please join us for this training. It's geared towards CERT, but all interested amateurs are welcome.

We look forward to seeing you at the Tampa Amateur Radio Club, 7801 N. 22nd Street, on Wednesday the 30th at 6:30 p.m.
