Garden Hose Nozzle Exchange This Friday
Water Conservation Goes To The Market

An automatic hand-held hose nozzle only saves water when it is working properly. A leaky or broken garden hose nozzle can be a big water waster and finding time to visit the local home improvement store to purchase a replacement can be challenging in our hectic lives.  The Tampa Water Department wants to help the community save water and money by providing 60 free replacement nozzles during the opening day of the Tampa Downtown Market this Friday.
The first 60 people to stop by the Department's blue tent at the Tampa Downtown Market between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. this Friday can exchange their old garden hose-end spray nozzle for a new 10-pattern automatic shut-off hose-end sprayer. Nozzles will be available on a first-come-first-served basis and are limited to one exchange per person. Even if you do not have a nozzle to exchange you are invited to stop by our booth for free information on ways to 'go green' by conserving water.
During select Fridays this season the Tampa Water Department will be providing free water conservation materials and information at the Tampa Downtown Market. Find upcoming dates and see other opportunities in the community to learn about reducing water use by visiting the Water Department Calendar at www.tampagov.net/appl_calendars.
