Rapid Offender Control Squad Roll-out – In the last seven years, Tampa Police officers and employees, in concert with the community, have reduced crime by 50%.  As with years past, we will continue to deploy our resources and develop tactics in a manner that will allow us to work smarter and more efficiently to reduce crime even further. 
Cops in Crosswalks – With pedestrian fatalities up in 2009, cops hit the streets to remind pedestrians and drivers the rules of the road in hopes of saving lives.  But even as they were canvassing the streets, they still found pedestrians and drivers violating the law.
2009 Memorial Run – Hundreds of people from all over the Bay Area laced up for the annual Tampa Police Memorial Run.
Teamwork Gives Masked Robbery One Last Disguise…..a Jail Jumpsuit – When it comes to catching bad guys, district boundaries quickly disappear.  Detectives and patrol officers share information and resources daily in their quest to solve cases.
