Treating Tampa's Water

Most of Tampa's drinking water is treated surface water from the Hillsborough River. The river begins in the Green Swamp and winds its way through Tampa to Hillsborough Bay. In Tampa's Sulphur Springs area, the river reaches the Hillsborough River Dam. The reservoir holds Tampa's primary drinking water source, which is treated at the adjacent David L.
