District II Holds Dedication Ceremony for the Completed Corporal Mike Roberts Memorial Garden
More than 100 people gathered on a perfect fall afternoon to dedicate a garden to one of our fallen heroes.  Mayor Pam Iorio, Chief Jane Castor and those who made the garden possible gathered to remember, share stories and honor Corporal Mike Roberts.
 
30 Citizens “On the Job” at New Academy
Why did that officer ask me to put my hands on the steering wheel?  How does the Taser work and is it dangerous?  How do you get selected for a specialty team?  These are just a few of the questions that the participants from the 2010 Citizen’s Police Academy asked.  Not only did they get the answers to these questions, they discovered the answers first hand.
 
Record Turnout for Memorial Run
Before dawn broke on October 9th, 2010, volunteers and runners piled into Downtown Tampa’s Gaslight Park.  They ran, they walked, they jogged.  They came in honor of those lost in the line of duty.
