City of Tampa to Dedicate 9/11 World Trade Center Artifact
Memorial to be installed at Patriot's Corner


9/11 Memorial

 

Mayor Bob Buckhorn will be joined by community leaders to dedicate the 9/11 World Trade Center Artifact. The event will be on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. at Bayshore and Bay to Bay boulevards. The memorial was designed by Wilder Architecture, Inc. Architect Larry Wilder also led the primarily volunteer effort, which includes several community business partners. "This was something a lot of us could get behind – it's very inspiring," said Wilder. "There has been a tremendous sense of volunteerism, a get-it-done attitude throughout the project that feels very American and it has been a privilege to be part of this project." More...
