Free Water Management Tool Released for Tampa Businesses

Tampa businesses have a new planning tool available to assist them in realizing cost saving on their utility bills. A new Sensible Water Management workbook released for commercial, industrial and institutional users has guidance on conducting facility water audits and contains water efficiency measures for specific processes and industries.

Nearly 40 percent of the water produced by the City of Tampa Water Department is used by non-residential customers. By making the workbook widely available to all of its customers the City hopes to not only assist businesses in identifying potential cost savings but also help to reduce the impact by those customers on the community’s water resources.

Potable water and wastewater rates will increase on October 1, 2011. How will this impact your bill?

Consumers can find ways to control their water consumption by using the free Home Water Efficiency Toolkit online and can order free consumer materials available through the City’s Customer Service Center.

City of Tampa Television, airing on Channel 615 on Bright House Networks and Channel 15 on the Verizon FIOS system, also provides programs and materials with water updates.
