Use this service for general correspondence to the Construction Services Center. Before submitting your inquiry, you may want to visit our web pages for information about our services, construction codes, permits, inspections, and more. The Construction Services Center is a one-stop service center for all construction related activities on private property.
- Construction Services, Records Request
Use this service to request copies of construction plans permitted within the last fifteen years (earlier years are not available).
For expedited self-service, please visit our website. Once there, follow the Research link. This will provide you with instructions and access to search our digitized construction records from the convenience of your home or office.
Note: Any requests to the City for retrieval of records will require a minimum of fifteen (15) working days to complete.

Use this service to access the self-service research link for digitized construction records permitted within the last fifteen (15) years (prior years are no available). Record research requests may also be asked of the Construction Services Division (CSD) by following this link. All requests for assistance from the CSD staff will incur associated fees and require a minimum of fifteen (15) working days to complete.

Use this service to inquire about commercial or residential construction inspections for permitted projects on private property. Note: To schedule or check the status of a construction-related inspection, please have your permit # ready and access our online Inspection Information or call (813) 274-7900. If this service is not available, call (813) 274-3100.

Use this service to report a condition where new construction, renovations or remodeling work is occurring to an existing home or building on private property, and there is no building permit posted on the job.
- Plan Review, Commercial Building
Use this service to obtain information about commercial building plan review and questions related to building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes.
- Plan Review, Commercial Site
Use this service to obtain information about site plan requirements and municipal ordinances regulating commercial developments. All parcels within the City of Tampa must comply with the following regulations: zoning, tree and landscape, transportation and storm water. Information is also available regarding the City of Tampa Code.

Use this service to obtain information about active residential project plan reviews and general residential plan review questions.
- Tree Removal Information
Use this service to request information about removing trees or determination of exempt tree species allowed to be removed without permission. Examples of protected trees include Oaks, Pines, Elms,etc., which ar greater than 5" in diameter at 4.5' from ground level.
- Tree Removal without Permit
Use this service if you wish to report a protected tree being cut down or removed on private property and there is no permit posted on the job. Examples of protected trees include Oaks, Pines, Elms, etc., which are greater than 5" in diameter at 4.5' from ground level.
