  • Objects on Streets, Roads, Alleys, Sidewalk, Grass Strip (Right-of-Way)
    Use this service to report illegal objects placed within the right of way (on the street, alley, or immediately adjacent to the roadway), such as, railroad ties, walls or fencing, landscaping, basketball goals, private signage, paving, etc.

  • Roadway Detour Concern (Maintenance of Traffic)
    Use this service to inquire when there is a detour route in place for a street closure, construction project, or special event within the right-of-way. Should the right-of-way activity or traffic concern require immediate attention, please contact the Transportation Division at (813) 274-8333

  • Roadway Planning Projects
    Use this service to inquire or comment on proposed roadway projects such as status of concept development, PD&E, transportation analysis or other studies within the city limits.

  • School Area Safety Concern
    Use this service to report issues and concerns related to traffic and pedestrian safety in streets around a school, during student arrival & dismissal hours.

  • School Area Signs and Crosswalk Markings
    Use this service to request new School Area signs and markings; e.g. School Crossing Warning Signs, School Zone Speed Limit Signs, School Crosswalk Markings, ...

  • Sidewalk Damage Request (Repair)
    Use this service to report sidewalks in need of repair.

  • Street Closure Permit Request (Right-of-Way)
    Use this service to request a Right-of-Way Permit. All private construction or maintenance activities, which take place within the City's Right-of-Way, are subject to permitting by the City of Tampa. Sidewalk and driveway construction/repair, which take place within City Right-of-Ways, is regulated by the Right-of-Way permit process.

  • Street Light Out in City Limits
    Use this service to report a street light out within the City of Tampa limits that is not on private property.

  • Street Light Request (New or Obstruction)
    Use this service to request the installation of a new street light for a dark area on a city public street.

  • Street Marking Request (New)
    Use this service to request new or modifications to existing pavement markings.

    Please identify marking type, such as:

    Pedestrian Crosswalk - request for a new pedestrian crosswalk location not related to a school crossing
    Center Lines - request for new roadway centerline markings, edge of pavement markings, or travel lane markings through an intersection
    Stop Bars - request for stop bar installation at an existing "STOP" sign location.

  • Traffic Accident Study Request
    Use this service to request a study of an intersection or street segment for possible safety improvements. This requires a comprehensive investigation and analysis of traffic conditions and physical characteristics of the location and three year accident analysis history.

  • Traffic Calming (Speed Table/Speed Study/Cut-Thru Traffic) Request
    Use this service to report observations of motorists consistently speeding at a specific location; to request speed tables as a measure to reduce speeding on residential roadways that have already had a Traffic Speed Study Request performed showing a documented speeding problem; and to report a routine cut-thru condition, through a neighborhood, used to avoid a traffic signal or traffic congestion.

  • Traffic Counts Request
    Use this service to inquire or comment on the most current volumes of traffic. These are listed in a spreadheet for functionally classified city roads, which you can access through the Transportation Department website/Traffic Counts or View traffic count spreadsheet.

  • Traffic Sight Obstruction Concern
    Use this service to report obstructions (e.g. shrubs, fences, trees, private signs, vehicles, etc.) in sight lines at locations where a motorist's or pedestrian's view of approaching traffic is obstructed. To report fallen tree limbs or low overhanging tree limbs that are causing an obstruction in public right of ways or the streets, select Fallen or Low Overhanging Tree Limbs and Tree Down.

    Do NOT use this service for obstructed regulatory or traffic control signs (e.g. STOP signs, One-Way, etc.), instead, call (813) 622-1940 24-hours a day.

  • Traffic Sign Request (New or Modification)
    Use this service to request a new traffic control sign or to modify an existing traffic control sign.

    Examples include: 4-Way "Stop" Sign, "No Trucks" Sign, "Warning" Sign, "Neighborhood" Sign, "5-Minute Parking" Sign, "Speed Limit" Sign.

  • Traffic Signal Installation Request
    Use this service to request a new traffic signal. Signal installations must conform to the U.S. Department of Transportation FHA Manual On Uniform Traffic Control Devices. This requires a comprehensive investigation of traffic conditions and physical characteristics of the location, traffic and pedestrian volumes, speed of vehicles on the uncontrolled approaches, and one year accident analysis.

  • Traffic Signal Timing Concern
    Use this service to report a problem with a traffic light or signal where the situation does not require immediate attention. Excessive timing delays are instances that are of a non-emergency nature. Please do not use this service to report failures; instead please call (813) 622-1940 for immediate attention.

    Please indicate the intersection or the road segment (On, From, To) where you observed a signal problem and the time of day your are experienced the problem. This will expedite the traffic signal investigation.

  • Transportation - Miscellaneous Concerns
    Use this service for general correspondence to Transportation where the situation does not require immediate attention. Please do not use this service for missing regulatory or warning signs such as; STOP, ONE WAY, YIELD, DO NOT ENTER or ANY TRAFFIC SIGNAL; instead please call (813) 622-1940 for immediate attention.. The Transportation Division of the Department of Public Works operates the City's transportation system through its management of the City's transportation and traffic planning activities; transportation project survey, design, and construction supervision; and sign, signal, and roadway maintenance activities.

  • Transportation Concurrency Request - North of Fowler Ave.
    Use this service for inquiries or comments pertaining to the availability of roadway infrastructure necessary for any type of development-related activity North of Fowler Ave. ONLY.

  • Transportation Impact Fee Information
    Use this service to inquire how Impact Fees are calculated and/or awarded for developer right-of-way and construction donations. Refer to Tampa Municipal Code Section 25.

  • Truck Route andTraffic Inquiries and Concerns (City of Tampa designated)
    Use this service to request information on the city's designated truck routes and for guidance of when trucks may lawfully use residential roads for deliveries, pick-ups, and returningto designated truck routes. Please use "Traffic Sign Request (New or Modification)" service to request the installation of "No Trucks" signs.
