- Solid Waste Enhanced Environment Program (S.W.E.E.P.)
Solid Waste Enhanced Environment Program (S.W.E.E.P.) - In November 2005, The City of Tampa Department of Solid Waste assumed the weekend neighborhood cleanup services, formerly under the N.E.A.T. program, and will continue bulk trash items and debris removal through the S.W.E.E.P. for Cleaner Neighborhoods initiative.

The Solid Waste Enhanced Environment Program (S.W.E.E.P.) is managed by the Solid Waste Department. In an effort to continually improve our program and ensure adequate scheduling of volunteers, staff and equipment, the Department of Solid Waste will begin riding routes prior to weekend neighborhood cleanups and will post signage throughout the area receiving service. Through the S.W.E.E.P. for Cleaner Neighborhoods initiative, we hope to improve the quality of life in Tampa’s neighborhoods.
