The City of Tampa Utilities requires deposits on new accounts. In most cases deposits can be billed on your first monthly bill. Deposits earn interest and are refunded each January after a customer has a full calendar year of good payment history. Deposits may be waived by asking a previous utility company to fax us verification that you had good payment history for at least one year. (Our Fax Number is 813-274-8430.) We will begin processing this request as soon as possible, and will advise you by e-mail when complete, or, if further information or action is required on your part to complete this request. Thank you.
