Description
This project provides payment for real estate title, survey, environmental and technical reports needed to verify information prior to the city entering into real estate transactions. Prior to the city acquiring, disposing or leasing real property, the Real Estate Division must verify ownership with title searches and title commitments. Similarly, the size of the real property needs to be determined by a survey. Property values are determined by appraisals. Environmental studies are obtained to ensure the property is not contaminated prior to purchase. This engineering requirement becomes more important each year.
