Description
This project provides for a multi-year effort that began in FY09 to implement a solution to centralize document content citywide. Technology enables scanning and storing documents in centralized online systems to improve searching, retention and reproduction, when necessary. Reducing physical storage, as well as electricity, toner, printers and supplies needed to reproduce and manage multiple smaller departmental document systems, improves not only efficiency but makes significant headway under the city's Green Initiative. This project will include hardware, software and integration services. Once implemented, storage and access will be managed centrally.
