Description
This project provides for the construction of two new fire stations and the replacement of an existing fire station over the next three years. The replacement of Fire Station #11 is scheduled to be accomplished in FY10. Also, the city in FY09 purchased land for new Fire Station #22 in New Tampa (10871 Cross Creek) and Fire Station #23 (20770 Trout Creek Drive). The city will complete the construction of Fire Station #22 in FY10 and #23 in FY12.
Notes
The replacement fire stations will have energy efficient devices installed to help reduce utility and electric costs. The city has received approved SAFER grant funding to pay the salary cost of the 30 firefighters working at its new fire stations #22.
