Description
This project provides for the construction of new sidewalks in response to requests from schools, neighborhood organizations, and citizens. Locations are selected from a database of previously requested sites. Sidewalks will be built to Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards, which include American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. Sidewalk will typically be 5 ft wide and approximately 1 ft to 2 ft from the paved roadway. Design will vary with the conditions of the rights of way.
Notes
Sidewalk locations for FY10 will be determined in October 2009. Locations will be based on the criteria, feasibility, benefit, cost, priority, and input from the community.
