Description
This project provides for the installation of energy management systems at various city facilities, which will optimize electrical consumption. Energy reduction is accomplished through controlling operational hours of lighting, equipment, fresh air usage, and the interior space temperature. Benefits from this project include remote control and monitoring of air conditions in the facility, early identification of system problems and energy savings. Installation and implementation of systems will be sequenced and scheduled to minimize disruption to ongoing building operations. The city applied for an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to fund this project.
