Description
This project provides for the rehabilitation of manholes identified in the Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study. This project will be completed in phases over multiple fiscal years. The manholes are in several locations throughout the Bayshore and West River collection basins. The conditions of the manholes vary but include manholes with severe concrete deterioration and excessive leaks. The rehabilitation will include removing the deteriorated concrete, sealing the leaks and an applying a coating to the manholes that is resistant to hydrogen sulfide gas in order to prevent future corrosion. The coating will also restore structural integrity and prevent ground water from leaking into the manhole.
