Description
This project provides for the installation of new traffic signals as well as the replacement of existing traffic signal installations. The City currently has 212 traffic signals in need of replacement. The average cost of each new or upgraded traffic signal is $170,000. Upgrading old worn out signal facilities has a significant impact on the level of maintenance required to keep system operating.

LOCATIONS UNDER CONSIDERATION INCLUDE: Habana Avenue and Tampa Bay Boulevard MacDill Avenue and Spruce Street 15th Street and 109th Avenue Bay to Bay Boulevard and Himes Avenue MacDill Avenue and San Miguel Street Other locations throughout the city on an as-needed basis.
