PART-TIME: 2O HOURS A WEEK

JOB PURPOSE: The selected candidate will perform responsible customer service work in a lead capacity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Performing clerical tasks of more than average difficulty in receiving and responding to customer requests for services and/or information in person, by mail or telephone. Providing advice, guidance and assistance to lower-level clerks in difficult or unusual situations. Offering payment arrangements, copies of past due bills, and bill explanations.Processing and closing service orders associated with field collection activity.Planning and scheduling all work associated with field collections.Assisting with the overflow of credit and collection calls coming in through the call center.Reviewing reports to ensure that documentation is complete; resolves errors and problems in accounts, payments, etc. to facilitate processing. Some positions may also require cashiering tasks. Compiling data and participates in informational searches; researches and resolves unusual problems.Performing related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: High-school graduation and three (3) years general office or clerical experience, including one (1) year customer service or public contact experience, preferably with experience in the assigned area; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Extensive customer service experience is highly desirable. Preference will be given to applicants that are bilingual.
EXAMINATION: Written Test (Time Limit: 1 hour).
