(017) $12.52 - $17.81 an hour     $26,041.60 - $37,044.80 a year

JOB PURPOSE: The selected candidate will be responsible for performing entry-level inventory and stores work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pulling items to fill orders, and restocking shelves when orders are received.

  • Issuing various automotive, construction, maintenance, office or other supplies, materials, tools, and equipment.

  • Loading and unloads materials.

  • Driving a motor vehicle to pick up and deliver supplies and equipment.

  • Receiving various items into stock area; compares items received against delivery invoices.

  • Marking or tagging all items received into inventory; places items into proper bin or storage area.

  • Maintaining orderliness of storage areas.

  • Preparing necessary forms and doing required data entry on the inventory control system.

  • Participating in inventory spot checks; maintains simple records.

  • Performing related work as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    High-school or vocational-school graduation and some experience in storekeeping activities or warehouse operations; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    Knowledge of basic hand and power tools. Basic computer skills (word processing, data entry). Ability to generate daily/weekly reports.

    LICENSES/CERTIFICATES:

    Possession of a valid Florida Driverís License. A valid Florida CDL may be required.

    EXAMINATION:

    Written Test (Time Limit: 1-1/2 hours)

    Applicants must telephone the Employment Services Office to schedule an appointment for the written test. Applications must be submitted and approved prior to testing. (Photo Identification is required at time of testing.)

    Some positions may require background check & polygraph exam. Drug testing is included in all pre-employment medical examinations.
