Budget Operations Manager
FLSA: Exempt

(ME ) $67,454.40 - $105,664.00 a year

JOB PURPOSE: As one of two principal assistants to the Budget Officer, the selected candidate will assist in planning, developing, organizing, scheduling and directing the analysis, preparation and administration of the City’s annual operating budget, its multi-year capital improvement budget, program budget, and certain state and federal aid budgets. Work is of unusual difficulty requiring extensive initiative and independent judgment.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree (preferably a master’s) in business or public administration, accounting or a related field, and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal budgeting, finance or administration, including experience in a supervisory capacity, and the operation of computers for the development of spreadsheets and other documents.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES: Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO) certification is preferred.

EXAMINATION: Applicants will be evaluated on their education and experience. Drug testing is included in all pre-employment medical examinations.
