Details: GT CERT volunteers needed for TFR open house series – TFR will conduct an open houses at the station listed below and they would like or GT CERT to be represented . Any members who are available to attend and answer questions about the program, hand out brochures and display their CERT kits on the dates listed below please send an email to volunteers@greatertampacert.com. Get to Know Your Radio Night

Meeting held at TARC Clubhouse located at 7801 N 22nd St in Tampa. Begins at 7:30 p.m. and runs until everyone has all their radio questions answered. The purpose of the meeting is to give new amateur radio operators a chance to practice your skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. If you own a radio, bring it along for some expert advice on how to program and operate it. If you don't own a radio, come to the clubhouse and learn to use a handie talkie and/or mobile radio with instruction from an "Elmer" (which is the ham word for a "mentor").
