Fine art and a fine opportunity to support the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department's art program can all be yours on Saturday, November 21 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday, November 22 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Made by Hand Art Show and Sale taking place at the Kate Jackson Community Center, located at 821 S. Rome Avenue.

Mayor Announces Funding for Arts, Cultural and Service Organizations to Continue - Over $3 million in operating support will be budgeted for fiscal year 2009

Despite a budget shortfall, Mayor Pam Iorio announced today to the 21 arts, cultural, and service organizations the city subsidizes each year that she will not reduce their funding for the upcoming fiscal year.

Macfarlane Park Mural to be Unveiled – Mural Celebrates West Tampa Pioneers

Citizens and community leaders will join Mayor Pam Iorio to unveil a new mural at Macfarlane Park in West Tampa. The event will take place on Monday, November 5, 2007 at 2 p.m. The mural, titled Kaleidoscope: a Heritage of Color, can be found at the south end of the park.
