Gasparilla in all its glory returns to Tampa in January. The light-hearted Children's Extravaganza is Saturday, January 23, 2010. The Parade of the Pirates and Pirate Fest is slated for January 30, 2010. New for 2010, the Gasparilla Parade of the Pirates will have a new parade route, bringing the festivities right down into downtown Tampa to culminate at the new Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

Fine art and a fine opportunity to support the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department's art program can all be yours on Saturday, November 21 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday, November 22 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Made by Hand Art Show and Sale taking place at the Kate Jackson Community Center, located at 821 S. Rome Avenue.
