A Phone Call from Santa

Bring a magical moment to your child’s holiday with a phone call from Santa Claus. Volunteers will be assisting Santa and Mrs Claus make phone calls to boys and girls (preschool through second grade) on Tuesday, December 8, Wednesday, December 9 and Thursday, December 10 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Gasparilla Children's Extravaganza set for January 23, 2010 and the Parade of Pirates & Pirate Fest slated for January 30, 2010

Gasparilla in all its glory returns to Tampa in January. The light-hearted Children's Extravaganza is Saturday, January 23, 2010. The Parade of the Pirates and Pirate Fest is slated for January 30, 2010. New for 2010, the Gasparilla Parade of the Pirates will have a new parade route, bringing the festivities right down into downtown Tampa to culminate at the new Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

The City of Tampa has been chosen as one of five international cities to participate in a survey to determine how words, images and concepts influence public perception of recycled water. Two randomly selected Tampa Water Department customers out of the first 400 to participate in the survey will be eligible for $100.
