Police Officers Arrest Three Armed Robbery Suspects

ARREST LOCATION: 3913 W. Cherry St., Tampa

SUSPECTS: B/M BARNETT, Chad C. 03-21-90 4705 Jacks Point Court, Lutz, FL
B/F ESTRADA, Chance E. 04-04-94, 7211 N. 41st St, Tampa, FL
W/F STEWART, James, 05-14-49 3913 W. Cherry St, Tampa, FL

SUSPECT VEHICLE: 2005 silver Nissan Maxima

DETAILS:

Tampa Police officers have arrested three suspects involved in an early morning armed robbery at 2055 North Dale Mabry Highway. During the investigation, officers determined that Barnett was possibly residing close to where the robbery occurred. Police officers conducted an extensive search of the area and located a car matching the description of the suspect's vehicle parked at 3913 West Cherry Street. When officers approached the vehicle they observed Estrada sleeping inside the car. Barnett was located on the front porch of the home. He was attempting to conceal a loaded handgun that was stolen from the victim during the robbery.

The third suspect, Stewart, was located at a local hospital where he was being treated for a gunshot wound. He claimed he was shot during an unrelated shooting.

Both Estrada and Barnett were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Hillsborough County Jail. Stewart will be charged once he is released from medical supervision.

The victim is still being treated at a local hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Tampa Police are currently investigating a robbery to an individual at 2055 N. Dale Mary Hwy. The victim was confronted at that property by two black males,armed with a pistol, who robbed him of his property. A struggle ensued between the two parties and the victim was shot in the wrist. The victim ran from the scene to the Long Horn Steakhouse where he collapsed. The victim sustained injury to his face but the cause is yet undetermined. The victim is currently in guarded condition at the hospital. Tampa Police are actively investigating leads. Updates will follow as information is developed.
