Tampa, FL October 31, 2013 - The City of Tampa will begin construction on improvements along Zack Street 'Promenade of the Arts'. During construction, Zack Street will be closed to through traffic between Florida Avenue and Marion St.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 4, 2013 and is anticipated to be complete in February 2014.
Phase II of the improvements consists of the construction of widened sidewalks and on street parking, new landscaping, and an added emphasis on integrating public art into the streetscape.
Phase I of the improvements was completed in August 2012 and stretched from Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park to Florida Avenue. The $760,000 investment will extend the improvements east to Marion St.
