Tampa Police Identify Suspect Wanted in Armed Burglary Investigation Detectives believe the wanted suspect may have committed additional crimes over the past few weeks

Anyone with information on Kuhlmann’s whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) or text "CSTB plus your tip" to 274637 (CRIMES).  Anonymous tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1000 in cash.



WANTED SUSPECT: Edward Kuhlmann, W/M, DOB: 8/1/1985, at large address

OFFENSE DATE/TIME: October 29, 2013

OFFENSE LOCATION: 706 South Rome Avenue, Tampa

DETAILS:

Tampa Police detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating Edward Kuhlmann who is wanted for armed burglary and grand theft charges. On October 29, Kuhlmann entered an unlocked vehicle at 706 South Rome Avenue and stole a gun, a navigational system and a voice recorder. Police detectives identified Kuhlmann based on leads developed during the investigation and they issued a warrant for his arrest. Detectives believe that the suspect may have committed multiple auto burglaries throughout the city and Hillsborough County over the past few weeks.

Kuhlmann is known to frequent the South Tampa area. Anyone with information on Kuhlmann’s whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) or text "CSTB plus your tip" to 274637 (CRIMES). Anonymous tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1000 in cash.

Citizens are reminded to lock their car doors and keep valuables out of plain view. These simple steps can greatly reduce the chances of becoming a victim of an auto burglary.
