Tampa, FL December 26, 2013 - The collection schedule for City of Tampa customers with regularly scheduled collection day on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 may be affected by the New Year's Day holiday. The modified holiday collection schedule is as follows:
The City of Tampa Christmas tree collection service will run Monday, December 30, 2013 through Friday, January 3, 2014. Residents are asked to remove all decorations and lights, cut tree limbs to four feet lengths, bundle, and place at curbside on their regularly scheduled yard waste collection day.
- Residential: Garbage, yard-waste recycling, or blue-box/green cart recycling will not be affected by the New Year’s Day holiday.
- Commercial: Commercial accounts scheduled for service on Wednesday, January 1 will be serviced on Thursday, January 2. Collection will run one day behind for the remainder of the week. Normal collection schedules will resume Monday, January 6, 2014.
- McKay Bay Transfer Station/Scale House will be closed on New Year’s Day. Normal schedule will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2014.
