View surveillance video taken days before the robbery here

DATE/TIME: January 17, 2014 at 11:27 a.m.

LOCATION: BB&T Bank, 4820 South Himes Avenue, Tampa

SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: W/M, 30's, 5'8"-5'9," 200-210 pounds, last seen wearing a blue hoodie jacket with the hood pulled up, tan pants and sunglasses. Suspect travelling on a light green mountain bike.

The unidentified bank robbery suspect entered a South Tampa BB&T bank branch at approximately 11:27 a.m. on January 17. He walked up to the teller with his face concealed, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. The teller, in fear for her life, complied with the suspect's demands and handed him cash. The suspect fled the scene on a light green mountain bike.

Tampa Police patrol and plain-clothes officers along with K-9 teams and air service responded to the scene to track down the suspect, who has not yet been located. During the investigation, detectives determined that the suspect was in the area several days before he robbed the BB&T bank. Surveillance video from the Publix on Gandy Boulevard shows the suspect wearing similar clothing and riding the same bicycle as described during this recent bank robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) or text "CSTB plus your tip" to 274637 (CRIMES). Anonymous tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash.
