Closure of 34th Street at Martin Luther King Blvd
Start: Friday, January 31, 2014
34th Street between Martin Luther King Blvd and East Ida Street
The City of Tampa will begin roadway resurfacing work on 34th Street at Martin Luther King Blvd on Friday, January 31, 2014. 34th Street between Martin Luther King Blvd and East Ida Street will be closed to traffic in all directions while construction is on-going. This roadway resurfacing work is expected to take one business day and be completed on January 31, 2014.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes during this closure to avoid any potential traffic congestion. Both direction of 34th Street will be detoured to 40th Street. Southbound traffic will be detoured onto East Chelsea Street to 40th Street. Northbound 34th Street traffic will be detoured onto Martin Luther King Blvd to 40th Street. Through traffic on Martin Luther King Blvd will be unaffected. Access to businesses and residents will be maintained via local streets.
