March 14, 2014 - Mayor Bob Buckhorn hosts the third annual Mayor’s River O’Green Fest this Saturday, March 15, 2014 form 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, located at 600 N. Ashley Drive. The City of Tampa will transform the Hillsborough River into a vibrant, kelly green between Cass Street Bridge and Kennedy Bridge.
The event, as well as its entertainment and activities, are free and open to the public; however, that will not include vendor items.
The 13th Annual Bolt Run presented by vitaminwater® will take place earlier in the morning on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. This year’s St. Patrick’s Day themed event will also offer a discounted beer coupon to redeem at the Mayor’s River O’Green. Finally, in the spirit of St. Patrick, any attendee who brings three non-perishable food items will receive a green "Saint Patrick's Army" shirt provided by the Salvation Army. All donations will benefit the Salvation Army and provide support for those in need.
