Tampa, FL April 1, 2014 - The 2014 City of Tampa Household Chemical and Electronics Collection event for residential customers will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tampa Fire and Police Academy, located at 116 S. 34th Street, Tampa, FL 33605. This free event provides residential customers with the opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted chemicals and electronics.
Materials accepted at the collection site include:
Only residential waste will be accepted.
- Paints and solvents
- Used motor oil
- Automotive products
- Pool chemicals
- Mercury-containing devices, such as fluorescent light bulbs and thermometers
- Lawn, garden and household chemicals
- Electronics including computer monitors, printers, CPUs, keyboards, televisions, DVD players, VCRs and cell phones
The City will not accept any explosive, radioactive, or biomedical wastes at the collection site.
