Tampa Police Homicide detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying any additional individuals who were possibly armed with firearms and involved in an argument that took place at Al Barnes Park on April 20.
Several individuals showed up to the park during a permitted event for a small group of residents. Those individuals were not part of the private event. After they arrived, a physical altercation took place that resulted in gunfire. Two individuals were pronounced deceased on scene. Two additional victims were transported to a local hospital where they are both currently listed in stable condition.
While investigating the shooting, Tampa Police officers received information that Ronald Milliron, a convicted felon, was carrying a firearm at the park. Officers made contact with him and during a search they located a pistol in his jacket pocket and marijuana. Detectives are still working to determine what role Milliron played, if any, in the incident.
Detectives are actively following up on leads and witness statements, however additional details are needed. Anyone who has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers immediately. Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for up to $3,000 in cash.
