Tampa, FL June 2, 2003 - The NFL Players Association, Tampa Bay Chapter hosts this event on June 21, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. at Regal Bowling Lanes(4847 N. Armenia Avenue) to benefit Tampa Bay Youth Education Town (YET) Centers at Jackson Heights and Mort Park.
Enjoy a fun filled day meeting local sports, media and entertainment celebrities while raising money to benefit bay area youth.
2002 celebrity bowlers included: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Shelton Quarles, Derrick Brooks, Dwight Smith, Karl Williams, GM Rich McKay, and the Buccaneer Cheerleaders; Super Bowl XXII MVP Doug Williams, NFL Hall of Fame member Lee Roy Selmon, local media personalities Kelly Swoope, Denis Phillips, ABC-28; Ernest Hooper, Eric Deggans - St. Petersburg Times; George Nix, WSJT 94.1; Rod Carter, Victoria Lim, – WFLA, NBC-8, Natalie Angel, WTSP CBS-10; Chris Field, Chip Carter - WTVT FOX-13; J.P. Peterson, Sports Anchor - WFLA NBC-8; Ronnie “Night Train” Lane, Sports Show Hosts, WQYK 1010; Joe Henderson, Tampa Tribune and Tampa Bay area retired players of the National Football League and other professional sports.

YET Centers offer a positive alternative for children through programs in personal development, education assistance, life skills training and recreation. The NFL established the program in 1993. The Tampa Bay YET Centers are part of a national network of nine centers located in Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, New Orleans, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Atlanta. Future centers are planned for Houston, Jacksonville and Detroit.
