| Mayor Hosts First Town Hall Meeting of 2005 |

February 24, 2005 - Mayor Pam Iorio hosted the first of four town hall meetings for 2005 on Wednesday evening at Robinson High School. The meeting drew nearly 200 people from the Ballast Point, Port Tampa, Rembrandt Gardens and Sun Bay South neighborhoods.
During the event, Tampa’s strategic goals, projects and initiatives were discussed. Several departments were on-hand prior to the meeting to provide informational handouts and interact directly with the citizens. In addition, those in attendance had an opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns directly to the mayor, top city officials and other agency leaders including the Tampa Housing Authority.
The regional town hall meetings are being held in an effort to make city government more easily accessible to Tampa's citizens.
The next town hall meeting is scheduled for April 19, 2005.
