Tampa, FL July 6, 2005 - The City of Tampa will hold two public meetings to gather citizen input regarding the results of the Tampa Museum of Art site feasibility study. The results will be presented by HDR Inc., led by Pete Karamitsanis, AIA. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the potential for reuse of the historic Federal Courthouse as the new site for the Tampa Museum of Art. Two additional sites were used for comparison. Members of the public are welcome to attend the meetings and the study may be viewed in advance at www.tampagov.net/dept_public_works/
The first meeting will take place at the Tampa Convention Center (TCC) on Thursday, July 14, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. TCC is located at 333 S. Franklin Street. The second public meeting will take place at the Jaeb Theater in the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center (TBPAC) on Wednesday, July 20, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. TBPAC is located at 1010 North W.C. MacInnes Place.
